Calls for health and safety work legislation to extend to workers’ homes

Research has shown that there has been a dramatic rise in back and neck pain since more staff have been working from home during lockdown.

The increase, which is thought to be linked to a poor office set-up, has led to calls for health and safety at work legislation to be extend to the home.

The suggestion extends to allowing inspectors to be given new powers to visit workers in their homes to assess their working situation.
