Drivers convicted of drink driving continue to reoffend

DVLA statistics show that since 2000, over 51,000 motorist who have been convicted of  drink-driving have reoffended, some as much as three times.

A spokesman for road safety charity Brake, said: “The next government must act by implementing a zero-tolerance limit, investing in roads policing to provide a true deterrent and encouraging the courts to use the law to its fullest extent.”
