A new inquiry into the removal of cladding announced

A new inquiry by members of the Housing, Communities and Local Government Committee will examine the government’s funding which has been set aside for the removal of dangerous cladding on hundreds of buildings across the country.

Last year a £200m fund was created to remove the aluminium composite material cladding which was used on the Grenfell Tower. However, the funds do not include the removal of other flammable materials found on high-rise homes.
